Instant form registration
Last updated 13 October 2026
Instant form registration lets you put a viewer's name and email in a form's link. When they open it, Money Alive Office skips the form, registers them and emails them a passcode. They enter the code and start watching.
It's useful when the viewer is already signed in to another system, such as your client portal, and you don't want them to type their details again.
How it works
- Your system builds the form link with the viewer's details added to the end.
- The viewer opens the link. Money Alive Office registers them, or finds their account if they already have one, and gives them the journey.
- They're taken to the passcode screen and get the code by email.
- They enter the code, are signed in, and the box set opens.
If anything is missing or wrong, the viewer simply sees the normal registration form instead. The reasons are listed further down.
The link
Add the viewer's details to the end of the form's link:
https://www.moneyalive.io/forms/5adc058b13cfd?first_name=Jane&surname=Smith&email=jane.smith%40example.com| Add | What it is | Needed |
|---|---|---|
first_name |
First name | Yes |
surname |
Surname | Yes |
email |
Email address | Yes |
phone |
Phone number | No |
Encode each value for a web address, so @ becomes %40 and spaces become %20.
Each time the link is opened, a new passcode is sent and any earlier code stops working. If you're testing, use the code from the latest email.
Switch it on
Instant form registration is switched on for your account by us first. Until then, the setting doesn't show. Contact us to ask for it. After that, you switch it on for each form you want to use it with.
On a standard webform
Go to Webforms and click the form (1).

In the Webform window, open Settings, then Advanced.

Switch on Instant form registration (3).

On a workflow's webform
Open the workflow and click Webform on the Onboarding card (1).

Open Settings (3), then Advanced (4), and switch on Instant form registration.

Terms and conditions
If the viewer hasn't accepted the current Terms and Conditions yet, the passcode screen asks them to tick a box first. Their acceptance is recorded when the code is accepted. The Terms and Conditions are never skipped.
When the form shows instead
The viewer sees the normal registration form, with nothing registered, when:
- the first name, surname or email is missing, or the email isn't valid;
- instant form registration isn't switched on for your account or for that form;
- the link has
preview=truein it, which is handy for checking the form itself; - there have been too many attempts recently (see below).
Limits
To stop misuse, there's a limit on how often it can be used:
| Limit | Time |
|---|---|
| 30 attempts from one internet address | 1 minute |
| 20 attempts for one email address | 1 hour |
Past these, the normal form shows until the time is up.
